Practicing the Table: Living the Gospel in Community

Summer is filled with long, warm days—extra time to relax, enjoy friends, and fire up the grill for an epic meal. There’s something deeply transformative about gathering around a table. We often pray, “Lord, meet us here,” when in reality, He was present long before the meal began and will linger long after it ends.

From the earliest pages of Scripture, meals have been places of remembrance and practice—spaces where God’s ongoing presence with His people is experienced and embodied.

This summer, as we naturally spend more time around tables, we will gather on Sunday mornings to sit with passages from the biblical story that center on meals—not just as moments of nourishment, but as formative spaces where God shapes who we are becoming.
